This meeting was held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the home of Jeff and Alma Webb in Chattanooga, St. Elmo, TN.
Call to Order:At 6:53 pm Jeff Webb called the meeting to order. Members in attendance were Jeff Webb, Mark Kemp, Gary Knoss, Bruce Pitt and Tim Hill.

Opening Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance:Mark Kemp performed opening prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

Old Business: There was no old business to discuss.

Vacant Office of Secretary/Treasurer: Due to the passing of Secretary/Treasurer Charles Engle, Camp Commander Jeff Webb nominated Mark Kemp to fill the vacant office of Secretary/Treasurer. Nomination was seconded by Gary Knoss. Motion carried from a unanimous vote.

Treasurer's Report: Mark Kemp discussed the camp's checking account. He reported the balance was $889.97. Secretary/Treasurer Kemp also made known that he ordered new checks at a cost of $35 which included adding his name and Robert Dobbs to the checking account.

Election and Installation of Officers: After being previously nominated to serve another year, the following slate of officers was duly elected by those present:

       Jeff Webb - Camp Commander
       Mark Steele - Senior Vice Commander
       (open) Junior Vice Commander
       Mark Kemp - Secretary/Treasurer
       John Sims - Camp Chaplain
Council Members are Mark Kemp, Robert Dobbs and Wes Davis.

New Business: Discussed was the existing plan to purchase a large flag and flag pole to donate and install for Kirkland Cemetery. Funds were raised for this purchase on Memorial Day Weekend at the yardsale. No plans to proceed until the first of next year.

Next Project: Several items were discussed.
1) Commander Jeff Webb asked Mark Kemp about Charles Engles' idea for honoring the Founder of Missionary Ridge Camp 63, "Major Frank Harned". A medal were discussed and shown by Mark Kemp.
2) It was noted that Robert Dobbs has the camps collection of flags, medals, etc that he plans to pass along to Mark Steele.
3) Mark Kemp spoke about a conversation with Charles Engle's wife; she posed a question to him and the camp about where she could donate Charle's large collection items. She preferred a museum which would care for and display them. Mark Kemp stated he was and would continue to research options.
4) There was mention of the Camp's website (www.SUVMRC63.org).
5) Jeff Webb commented on the loss of 2 members, but countered about signing 5 new members. The Camp is actually up by 3 members now.
6) Mark Kemp stated he needed an updated members list and hard copy of the Bi-Laws.
7) Dues are Due! $30 per person. This needs to be posted to the website.
8) The date for next meeting is scheduled for the first Saturday in April. The date is April 2nd, 2016.

Point of interest: Department of Tennessee Secretery/Treasurer Geoffrey C. Hintze, PDC sent an email of condolences for the loss of our Treasurer/Secretary, Brother Charlie. His email mentioned that the Camp needs to fill out and complete IRS 990 Postcard. The postcard must be filed each year in February and Mark Kemp will need all info by mid-January each year.

Donation to the Charitable Foundation in Honor of Charles Engle: It was noted that at least four camps in the Department of Tennessee are going to donate to the SUVCW Charitable Foundation in Charlie's name. It was agreed by those present that this Camp will also make a $50 donation to the Foundation in honor of Charles Engle. This concluded the New Business session.

Afterwards, Bruce Pitt spoke about memories of Iowa and his Great-Great Grandfather as well as several of his G.G.Grandfather's Brothers who served and are buried there. They served from the Mississippi down through Texas.

Next Meeting: Commander Webb encouraged those present to attend the next meeting, which will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Time and place will be announced later.

Adjourn: There being no further business to come before the camp, Commander Webb adjourned the meeting at approximately 7:30 PM.

Closing Prayer: Mark Kemp concluded the meeting with a closing prayer.
