- Our next event will be at the Citizen's Cemetary on Feb. 24. The SCV camp N.B. Forrest, has

soldiers to help out with this. The SCV will also be having a grave marker ceremony for one of
the Confederate soldiers buried there. Please notify us if you can help with our ceremony.
- Our next camp meeting will be March 17 at the Rising Sun Tae Kwan Du Studios in East Ridge.
After the meeting, we will have lunch at Wally's restaurant that is close by.
- We have more things planned such as being at the Geargia monument on Confederate Memorial Day
at the Chickamauga Battlefield. After the ceremony, we will have a camp picnic
at the battlefield.
We will participate in the 1890's Day parade in Ringgold , Ga on the Satur-

On Memorial Day, we will first honor some soldiers at a cemetary in
Catoosa county, Ga. and then make our way to the Cracker Barrel for supper in East Ridge.
After this, we will proceed to the Chattanooga National Cemetary to honor the Union sold-
iers buried there with the Torch light ceremony as we do annually. These events will be
updated for the specific times and dates as they draw nearer.
Chaplain Bill Massey did the closing prayer and the meeting was dismissed.
We had a good turn out for our meeting . Also we did well at our recruitment and sales booth.
We sold many of the 2001 Joint SUV/SCV effort medals for $1.00 each and many chances on the
Lee/Gordan House painting for $1.00 that Tommy Smith had painted and donated. A lady from
Anniston, AL. won the painting and she was thrilled at winning it. I drove half way to Anniston
by meeting her in Gadsden and giving it to her. Thanks to everyone for helping out.
Bill Shackleford (Past Commander) came by with a few copies of the Camp #63 charter and gave
